COUGARS VERSUS GOLDEN BEARS:
• Saturday marks the 132nd all-time meeting between Washington State and California, as Cal holds the 79-52 advantage in the all-time series.
•  WSU snapped its four-game losing streak to Cal last season with a 78-53 victory, Jan. 13 at Beasley Coliseum...that win marked WSU's largest win in the series.
•The Cougars followed it up with a 78-76 win at California Feb. 22, 2018 for the season sweep, WSU's first sweep of the series since 2006-07.
    • Last year in the first meeting of the season, at Pullman, Jan. 13, then-junior Robert Franks set a WSU single-game record with 10 3-pointers made...he was 10-for-13 from 3-point range and had a career-high 34 points.
    • In the second meeting last year, then-grad transfer, Drick Bernstine made a layup with 1.7 seconds to lift WSU over Cal, 78-76 at Berkeley.
• WSU won the first meeting of this season, 82-59, Jan. 17.
• The Golden Bears lead 48-19 in games in the series played at Berkeley, having won six of the last eight WSU road games, although WSU has won two of the last three at Cal.
• Each of the last three games at Cal have been decided by 4 or fewer points.
• WSU's only other win at Cal since 2008 came four seasons ago, Jan. 4, 2015., a 69-66 victory.

WSU ENDS DESERT/WEEKEND SWEEP DROUGHTS:
• With wins at Arizona State (91-70, Feb. 7) and Arizona (69-55, Feb. 9), WSU got just its third road sweep of the Arizona schools since the league became the Pac-12 in 1978-89.
• It marked its first sweep at the desert since 2006-07 (also swept in 1981-82) and its first road sweep since 2008-09.
• The sweep was also the last WSU conference weekend sweep since 2011-12, which was at Pullman.

ABOUT THE COUGARS:
• WSU is 11-17 overall and 4-11 in Pac-12 play, having won two of its last three road games.
• The Cougars have three conference games remaining...if they can win all three, they would tie for the most Pac-12 wins under Ernie Kent, seven (2014-15).
• Three more wins would also give WSU its most overall wins under Kent, as the previous high was 13 done twice.
• WSU ended the nonconference season with a 7-6 record, including a perfect 7-0 at Pullman and 7-1 in home games (WSU played a home game at Spokane Arena against Santa Clara, Dec. 29), a 0-2 mark on the road and 0-3 in neutral-site games.
• The Cougars have had some bad luck when it comes to health, as they've played 14 games without one of its major contributors (Robert Franks - five games missed, Viont'e Daniels - five games missed, Isaiah Wade - three games missed, Jeff Pollard - two games missed)...those games resulted in 10 of WSU's 17 losses.
• The 2018 Pac-12 Most Improved Player of the Year, senior Robert Franks leads the Cougars this season with a team and Pac-12 best, 21.9 points, which ranks 20th in the country.

• Franks reached the 30-point plateau in both games at the Arizona schools Feb. 7 and 9, marking the second time this season he has scored 30-plus in two straight games he's played in (Nov. 11 and Nov. 19 - he missed WSU's Nov. 14 game).
• Freshman CJ Elleby is the only other Cougar averaging double-figure points with 15.2 points per game, 10th-best in the Pac-12, and the second-most among Pac-12 freshmen.
• Elleby is adding 6.8 rebounds per game, ranked ninth in the league.
• Elleby is averaging 3.4 assists per game in Pac-12 games only which ranks 13th.
• Franks is one of five returnees for the Cougars as he's joined by seniors Viont'e Daniels and Davante Cooper and juniors Jeff Pollard and Carter Skaggs.
• Junior college transfers Ahmed Ali and Jervae Robinson have split the point guard duties with Ali having started 21 games and Robinson six.

• He has already scored 426 points which ranks second on WSU's freshman scoring list, 18 shy of the record held by Steve Puidokas.
