>> After picking up two road conference wins, the Cougars are currently tied for second place in the Pac-12, just two games behind Stanford. WSU downed Arizona State, and No. 21 Arizona this past weekend, and are now on a four-game winning streak.
>> The Cougars now rank second overall in both hitting percentage (.263), and total blocks (167.0) in the Pac-12 entering this week.
Jocelyn Urias ranks seventh in hitting, and fourth overall in the conference to lead Washington State.
Cougars Move Up to No. 21 in AVCA Coaches Poll
Washington State Volleyball moves up one spot to number 21 in the week seven AVCA Coaches Poll, earning 413 overall points. Fellow Pac-12 members that earned top 25 spots as well include; Stanford (2), Oregon (14), USC (15), Washington (18), UCLA (20), Arizona (23), and Arizona State (25).
WSU Jumps to No. 12 in Latest NCAA RPI Rankings
The Cougars checked in at number 12 overall in the latest RPI rankings of the 2018 season, recording a 13-3 record, along with a 4-2 Pac-12 record to start off the month of October. WSU's only losses this season have been against East Tennessee State, and currently ranked Pac-12 opponents Washington, and Oregon. The Cougars has boosted their overall road record now out to 6-2 as they prep for Stanford and California this week.
Woodford Joins 1,000 Career Kill Club

McKenna Woodford surpassed the 1,000 kill mark during her WSU career, Sunday against No. 21 Arizona as she totaled 18 kills in the match to lead the Cougars over the Wildcats. Woodford becomes just the 15th player in Washington State Volleyball history to eclipse the milestone, joining fellow teammate
Taylor Mims in the 1,000 kill club.
Brown Records Career-High in Assists
Junior setter
Ashley Brown for the third time this season set a career-high in total assists during a match as she recorded 59 total on the road against No. 21 Arizona. Brown, who's previous best was 57 against Colorado, helped guide the WSU offense in the five-set comeback win against the Wildcats.
WSU Continues Road Stretch in Pac-12 Play
Washington State will play a second straight week on the road, facing the number two ranked Stanford Cardinal Friday, October 12, and then travel to Berkeley to take on the Bears of California, Sunday, October 14. Both Stanford and Cal hold all-time series advantages over the Cougars, but WSU will look to continue the recent hot streak of winning while playing on the road.
