Men’s Golf Announces 2017-18 Schedule

The Cougars will compete in eight different states.
PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State men's golf team will host a fall tournament and travel to seven different states as part of its 2017-18 tournament schedule, WSU head coach Dustin White announced Thursday.
The Cougars will open the 2017-18 season hosting the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate at WSU's Palouse Ridge Golf Club, Sept. 11-12. Five days later, WSU will tee off in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as part of the Golfweek Conference Challenge hosted by Iowa. Washington State closes the month of September at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate hosted by New Mexico and held at The Championship Course at Albuquerque, N.M., Sept. 22-23.
WSU will play in one tournament in October and one in November, heading to Parker, Colo., for the Paintbrush Intercollegiate, Oct. 9-10 and the Saint Mary's Intercollegiate, Nov. 6-8, at Poppy Hills Golf Course at Monterey, Calif.
The Cougars open the spring portion of their schedule Feb. 15-17 in Hawaii at the Jon Burns Intercollegiate at Wailua Golf Course. Following that, they will head to Thousand Oaks, Calif, for the Southwestern Invitational.
WSU will compete in three tournaments in three different states in March, beginning with the Desert Mountain Collegiate hosted by Michigan and held at Scottsdale, Ariz., March 3-4. WSU then will compete at the Bandon Dunes Championship at Bandon Dunes, Ore., in the tournament hosted by Gonzaga. The Cougars conclude the month at the Bighorn Invitational hosted by Kansas State and held in Palm Desert, Calif., March 23-24.
April begins with the ASU Thunderbird Invitational, April 14-15 at Tempe, Ariz., followed by the Pac-12 Championships at Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., and hosted by USC, April 28-30.
The Cougars return seven of the eight team members from the 2016-17 squad, while adding three.
