WSU Eight for Eight in First Day of Regatta

STANFORD - The fifth ranked Washington State University rowing team won all eight of its races in day one of the Stanford Invitational Saturday, April 19. The varsity eight set the pace for the day defeating No. 10 Stanford on its home course at Redwood Shores.
The second varsity eight, varsity four, and novice eight followed suit in their first races of the day capturing wins against Pacific-10 Conference opponents Stanford and UCLA.
In the second half of the day, the Cougars continued to dominate, outstroking all competition.
WSU will begin day two of the regatta Sunday, April 20, beginning at 9:24 a.m. with a varsity eight match-up against Victoria.
