WSU CAREER
SENIOR (2024): Appeared in and started all 28 matches … ranked fifth in the WCC with 374 total kills … ranked sixth in conference with 3.34 kills per set … recorded her 1,000th career kill against Pepperdine (10/6) … tallied double-digit kills in 20 matches and hit at a .261 clip for the year … had career-high 30 kills and 31 points at Saint Mary’s (10/12) … ranked second on the team with 92 total blocks and 11 solo blocks … had season-best seven blocks against LMU (11/29).

JUNIOR (2023): Improved her hitting percentage from the previous seasons to a .279 percentage on the season while averaging 2.27 kills/set... Started all 34 matches as the Cougars' opposite on their run to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16... Had 13 matches with double-digit kills and five total matches with five or more blocks.

SOPHOMORE (2022): Started every match for the Cougars at opposite hitter for a second-consecutive season... She averaged 2.47 kills/set and hit .324 (96-28-210) over the final 10 matches of the season for WSU... She had double-digit kills in a dozen matches over the course of the season and averaged .82 blocks/set with three solo blocks... Tallied a career-high eight blocks in two separate matches, first in a sweep over Fairleigh Dickinson (9/10) and again in a sweep on the road at Utah (10/16)... Had a career-high six digs in the Cougs' five-set win over Arizona (11/5).

FRESHMAN (2021): Played in all 32 matches for the Cougs at opposite hitter as a true freshman finishing the season with 2.18 k/s at a .326 clip... Opened her career with an 8-3-14 line (.314 pct) in her collegiate debut at South Carolina (8/27)... Had four kills and a season-high six total blocks in her fourth college match against UNLV (9/4)... Had a season-high 19 kills in a five-setter at UCLA (10/3) on just 33 attacks (.485)... Hit double digit kills in a trio of three-set matches including 12 kills on only 22 attempts (.500) in the NCAA Tournament second round against Baylor (12/3)... Finished with 10 or more kills in six total matches including season bests of 19 & 15 in two matches against rival Washington... Finished the season at .68 blocks per set and tallied three or more total blocks in 11 matches.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Lakeland High School where she lettered in both volleyball and basketball for four years...Played both middle blocker and opposite while on the volleyball team, and was a center during her time with the basketball program...During her senior campaign Ryan was a varsity starter along with earning numerous accolades such as Team Most Valuable Player, All-League MVP, Team State Sportsmanship Award, and was named the Idaho Gatorade Volleyball Player of the Year...Katy helped lead her squad to a first place overall finish in the league, first place finish at state, which saw Lakeland earn its first volleyball state title in school history as well...Ryan has also spent time with USA Volleyball's Women's Junior National Training Team.

PERSONAL: Born in March of 2003...Daughter of William, a high school teacher, and Lorain, a school counselor, Ryan...Has three brothers, Luke, Ben, and Cam...Maintained a 4.196 grade point average while attending Lakeland High School where she was a member of the Calculus Club, National Honors Society, Student-Athlete Leadership Team, and earned herself an Idaho Top Scholar Award...Katy enjoys hiking, reading, baking and spending time with her family, friends and pets...Will look to pursue a degree in elementary education while attending Washington State University.
