2025-26 WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention

Sophomore (2025-26)
Competed as coxswain in seven events for the Cougars … had a pair of second-place finishes in the 2V4 at the WCC Championships (5/15-16) … finished first in the 1V4 at the Head of the Spokane (10/18) … placed second in the 2V4 both against Gonzaga (4/11) and at Oregon State (5/2) … saw a second-place finish and a pair of fourth-place finishes in the 2V4 at the Big Ten Invite (4/18-19) … placed third in the 1V4 at the Head of the American (10/25).

Freshman (2024-25)
Raced in all eight events for the Cougars as a true freshman coxswain … placed first in the 2V8 at the WCC Championships (5/16-17) day one preliminaries before placing third overall in the Grand Finals … finished first in the 3V8 at the Head of the Lake (11/3) … placed sixth in the 2V8 at the Lake Wheeler Invitational (4/25-26) … was second in the 2V8 at the Winchell Cup (4/5) and second in the 1V8 at the Fawley Cup (4/19).
 
Prior to Washington State
Torres came to Pullman from across the country in Bethesda, Md. where she was 2024 honorable mention Washington Post All-Metro in rowing … helped her high school team to two bronze and two gold medal finishes at the Washington Metropolitan Interscholastic Rowing Association (WMIRA) Championships ... earned a silver medal at the 2024 Stotesbury Cup Regatta in the W2V8+ … daughter of José and Nancy Torres and competed for B-CC Crew and D.C. National Rowing Club, plans to study public relations at WSU.
