Olivia Hecimovich

Hecimovich came to WSU with a wealth of experience in the sport of rowing after four years as a coxswain on the UCF rowing team (2014-17). As a freshman, Hecimovich coxed the varsity four, second varsity eight and varsity eight boats. She served as coxswain for the varsity eight as a sophomore, junior and senior, where she helped lead the Golden Knights to three-straight NCAA Championship appearances. The Golden Knights finished 19th as a team in 2015, 20th in 2016 and 18th in 2017. 

Prior to her time at UCF, Hecimovich rowed for current WSU assistant coach, Brandon Campbell, at the South Niagara Rowing Club.

A native of Fonthill, Ontario, Hecimovich received her bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies (environmental studies) in August of 2017. She also has her certificate in teaching English as a foreign language and worked as a field biologist for Bio-Tech Consulting Inc., from December of 2017 to July of 2018.
