Tiernan joins the Cougar staff as an Assistant Coach and Director of Operations after previously rowing with the Cougs from 2020-24.
In her time as a coxswain with the Cougar women’s rowing program, she was a three-time CRCA Scholar-Athlete and was four times named to the President’s Honor Roll. Tiernan also earned the Distinguished Cougar Award, was a member of the WSU Rowing Leadership Counsel, was a 2023-24 SAAC member, and was the 2023 WSU Rowing Team MVP.
Tiernan has also volunteered her time coxing for various groups, including a learn-to-row program for previously incarcerated women, and boats ranging from young adult to senior citizens.
