JUNIOR (2011-12): Indoor - Redshirt season...competed unattached...at Idaho Indoor Open ran PR in 400m of 49.66i and pole vaulted 3.90m/12-9 1/2i (2/4/12, Moscow)...scored 4,243 points in heptathlon at Cougar Indoor (1/28/12, Pullman)...Outdoor - Redshirt season...competed unattached...at Cougar Invite ran 800m in PR time of 1:58.18 (1/21/12, Pullman)...at SCC Multis (4/11/12, Spokane), scored 6,664 in decathlon with PR in pole vault (4.15m/13-7 1/4), shot put (11.35m/37-3) and javelin (52.60m/172-7).

PRE-WSU CAREER. Competed two seasons at Community Colleges of Spokane for coach Larry Beatty...earned All-American awards in 100m dash, intermediate hurdles, 4x100m and 4x400m relays, and decathlon...freshman season at Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges Championships took first in 400m hurdles (52.99) and 4x100m relay (41.40), second place in 4x400m relay (3:20.87) and third in decathlon (6,085 points)...as a sophomore at NWAACC Championships won decathlon (PR 6,403 points) and 4x100m relay (41.75), was runner-up in 400m hurdles (PR 52.98) and 4x400m relay (3:15.67), and placed third in 100m (11.15).

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned eight varsity letters at North Central High...four in cross country for coach John Knight...four letters in track for coach Kelly Walters...was all-city freshman 800m champion...junior year Indians boys team won state 3A championships...finished seventh in 400m and on third-place 4x400m relay...NC repeated as state champs senior year...at state meet placed fifth in 300m hurdles, sixth on both 4x100m and 4x400m relays...during season cleared 6-2 in high jump and long jumped 20-9 1/2...given team captain award...finished eighth in 400m hurdles at Nike Outdoor Nationals.

PERSONAL. Born in February 1991 in Salem, Oregon...father Doug is a director of nutritional services who graduated from WSU in 1989...mother Lori...younger brothers Andrew and D.J...older sister Chelsea...played first chair clarinet in Spokane All-City band...part of sixth place state choir...enjoys mountain biking and disc golfing...majoring in psychology at WSU.
