WSU CAREER SENIOR (2009-10): Cross Country - Consistent scorer for WSU in four races...earned 23rd place (third on team) at Roy Griak Invitational...60th (fourth on team) at ISU Pre-Nationals...17th place and first Cougar across finish line at Pac-10 Championships...highest finish for a WSU man since 2004...57th (third on team) at NCAA West Regionals.
JUNIOR (2008-09): Cross Country - Transferred from Spokane CC...one of WSU top finishers all season long...placed eighth at the Sundodger Invitational, 53rd at the Roy Griak...finished 25th (second on team) at Pac-10 Championships (10/31/08, Eugene)...48th (second on team) at the NCAA West Regional (11/15/08, Palo Alto).
PRE-WSU CAREER. Ran cross country and track and Community Colleges of Spokane for freshman and sophomore years...cross country coach was Erik Anderson and Larry Beatty was track coach...two-time cross country All-American...placed third as freshman (in spite of falling twice) and second as sophomore at Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges cross country championships...during track seasons, finished second in 5k and 10k at NWAACC meet as freshman...won 5k and 10k as sophomore and named Track Athlete of the Meet...team won two NWAACC track championships...named CCS Scholar-Athlete of the Month in November 2005...graduated with AA degree in June 2008.
HIGH SCHOOL. Earned eight letters at Shadle Park High...one as a forward on basketball team for coach Tim Gaebe...three in cross country and four in track for coach Ivan Corley...junior year ran PR time of 9:45 in 3200m at Pasco Invitational...senior season named to first team All-Greater Spokane League...finished 10th at regionals, fifth runner from GSL.
PERSONAL. Born in April 1987 in Hermiston, Ore...father David is an electrical engineer at Avista...mother Lindy works in accounting at the Spokesman-Review...older sister Erika...enjoys ping pong, poker, and cliff/bridge jumping...majoring in social sciences at WSU.
