John Kuceyeski

John Kuceyeski begins his first season on Head Coach Jake Dickert’s staff, serving in an offensive quality control role.
 
Kuceyeski arrives in Pullman from Western Kentucky, where he spent one season as the Hilltoppers director of player personnel. There he worked alongside current Cougar Offensive Coordinator Ben Arbuckle. Last season, Western Kentucky posted a 9-5 record, defeated South Alabama in the New Orleans Bowl, and finished seventh nationally in total offense and second in passing offense.
 
Prior to Western Kentucky, Kuceyeski served as the offensive coordinator and tight ends coach at Eastern Illinois for three seasons from 2019 to ‘21. While at EIU, he coached three All-OVC Newcomers, two All-Conference honorees and one Freshman All-American.
 
Kuceyeski worked at Cornell University as the running backs and tight ends coach for one season (2016) before becoming the offensive line coach for two years (2017-18). He also made stops at Iowa State University (Spring 2016) as the director of scouting, three years at Toledo (2013-15), the final two as the recruiting coordinator and Western Michigan (Spring 2013) as the Director of Player Personnel. Kuceyeski served as an offensive graduate assistant coach at Northwestern (2010-12), where he assisted with the offensive line, tight ends, wide receivers and special teams.
 
Kuceyeski graduated from Penn State University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in finance while serving as a student manager and undergraduate assistant coach during his four years at the school. He is a native of Libertyville, Ill.
