REPORTING TO PULLMAN - contact Jessi Seumalo
If participating in the Summer Bridge program (details below) Freshman will report to Pullman on Sunday, June 21st by 12pm. We are NOT allowed to pick you up from the airport (Pullman, Lewiston or Spokane). Please contact Jessi Seumalo by April 10th to discuss your participation in Summer Bridge and travel arrangements PRIOR to making any arrangements.
The Summer Bridge Program is completed on Friday, July 31st and you will report for the preseason training camp early that next week (exact date to be determined). Plan to bring all items needed to live in the dorms until May 2021.

GOVERNMENT ISSUED FORM OF IDENTIFICATION - May 1st
Beginning October 1, 2020 you will NOT be able to board a domestic flight (commercial or charter) if you do not possess the required ID. Before traveling to Pullman in June, you are required to possess a government issued identification that meets TSA (Transportation Security Administration) and REAL ID (Homeland Security) requirements for domestic airline travel. Possession of the correct ID effects your ability to travel to away games as a member of the football team. You need to apply in person for the REAL ID in your home state and present the required documents. Check with your state's Department of Licensing to determine correct documents and time needed to apply and receive the ID before traveling to Pullman.

January 31, 2020 - Priority deadline for submission of FAFSA.
March 9, 2020 - Must have admissions application submitted AND WSU issued email address established.
March 9, 2020 - Submit immunization records
March 9, 2020 - Transcripts with work in progress submitted to Jason and the Eligibility Center.
March 9, 2020 - Request filed with your school's counselor to have your final official transcripts with graduation posted sent to Jason and the NCAA Eligibility Center.
March 9, 2020 - Return Equipment and Shoe Order forms to Jason Cvercko.
March 9, 2020 - You and your parents have read about the Athletics Summer Bridge Program (see below)
April 1, 2020 - Request final Amateurism Certification from the Eligibility Center.
April 10, 2020 - Discuss travel options to Pullman for the June 21st reporting date, if participating in the Summer Bridge/Alive/Advantage.
May 1, 2020 - Obtain a government issued form of photo identification to travel on airlines
May 10, 2020 - Athletic Training Services forms completed and on file at WSU.
TBD - Complete WSU Housing Contract & pay $150 Deposit
June 1, 2020 - You have completed the Online Math Placement Exam.
June 10, 2020 - Have established your bank account and direct deposit.
June 21, 2020 - Report to Pullman for Summer Bridge Program, if participating
July 31, 2020 - Summer Bridge Program and final exam are completed.

SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL AID FROM A NON WSU SOURCE/ENTITY
There are very specific guidelines set by the NCAA regarding “outside” scholarships/aid and how they are reported. If you have been notified that you are the recipient of ANY kind of outside or non WSU scholarship, it is essential that you report it to the Athletic Financial Aid Staff immediately. Failure to report an outside scholarship could jeopardize your NCAA Eligibility. Please complete this questionnaire and return to Chris Boyce.

ADMISSIONS - submit application prior to March 9th

Official Transcript and Test Score
Submit to Jason Cvercko a current official transcript and your test scores. Please include your current class schedule/work in progress for Spring 2020. Be sure to include any AP or JC transfer credits earned or in progress.

Meet with your school counselor by March 5th and submit your request to have your final official transcript with your graduation posted sent to Brittany Thackery.

The MyWSU Portal allows incoming students access to all WSU services with your network ID and password:

Third Party Access - Due to federal regulations, we are unable to discuss your account with a third party (parent, grandparent, etc) without your permission. To be able to discuss your account with a third party, you must allow that person third party access to your account. You can do this by visiting the www.mywsu.wsu.edu portal - under Main Menu, click Self Service, then Third Party Access and follow the instructions.

Confirm with the Eligibility Center that you are requesting enrollment for the Fall 2020 semester. Submit your current official transcript to the Eligibility Center.
Make sure you have designated with the testing center (ACT or SAT) that your test score be sent directly to the NCAA Eligibility Center.

NCAA AMATEURISM CERTIFICATION - April 1, 2020
Confirm that you are requesting enrollment for the Fall 2020 semester. As part of the registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center you will be asked to certify your “amateur status” as a college student-athlete. Please answer these questions immediately and request that the NCAA Eligibility Center do a “final certification” of your “status”. Our office will receive updates as you complete this process.

ONLINE MATH PLACEMENT ASSESSMENT
Please take the math placement assessment by June 1st.

The cost is $45. The test is "interactive" so as soon as it believes you have mastery at a level it will increase the difficulty of the questions. It will take you approximately two hours to complete. After you take the exam, in addition to your math placement score, it will tell you your math deficiencies and give you practice problems. If you so choose, you can retake the exam after a 24 hour period.

WRITING PLACEMENT PROCESS
Writing Placement sessions take place during the Alive Orientation as part of your participation in our Summer Bridge Program.

SUMMER BRIDGE PROGRAM begins Sunday, June 21st
The first few weeks as a college freshman are difficult for any newcomer, but the NCAA Summer Bridge Program makes the transition a little easier for Washington State University student-athletes. You will get a chance to take courses and become acclimated to campus before you take a full slate of credit hours. You are required to enroll in a minimum of six credit hours and you will receive academic tutoring through our Athletic Support Services. You can also participate in voluntary workouts during Summer Bridge. Washington State University chooses to deliver the Bridge Program through the University's Summer Advantage Program.
2020 Summer Bridge Program Dates: Sunday, June 21st through Friday, July 31st.
Cost is approximately $6,500.00

In order to participate in the Summer Bridge Program you must be:
1. Admitted to Washington State University for the Fall 2020 semester
2. Create your WSU network ID and password
3. Complete the Fall Residence Hall Contract and pay the $150 deposit
4. Provide immunization records
5. Register for Summer Advantage
6. Register for Session 5 of the summer Alive! orientation
7. Take the online Math Placement Exam
8. Establish a bank account
Our expectation is that you arrive on campus by 12pm on Sunday, June 21st. The dorm will be available for move in on Sunday from 12pm.

ALIVE ORIENTATION
If you choose NOT to participate in the Summer Bridge with Summer Advantage programs you can register for the Alive! session most convenient for your summer schedule keeping in mind that you need to report for the preseason training camp the first week of August (TBD).

In order to participate in the Alive! Orientation:
Be admitted for the Fall 2020 semester
Pay the $200 Advance Tuition Deposit
Pay the $240 Student Matriculation Fee

You will be placed in the appropriate English course based on your writing placement test scores. You will take the writing placement exam at Alive. If you are bringing in AP or community college English credit, please tell Brittany.

HOUSING AND DINING
We will place you in the Northside Residence Hall. WSU requires freshman to live in on campus dormitories their first year.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a $150 refundable deposit required to complete the housing contract.

DINING OR RESIDENCE DINING ACCOUNT (RDA)

Select Level 1 RDA plan for fall semester if participating in the CATT dinner meal. We recommend starting at Level 1 and increase the Level if necessary as the semester progresses.
CATT - COUGAR ATHLETIC TRAINING TABLE
The "CATT" dinner meal program is optional for the non-scholarship football student-athletes and they can request access to the CATT meal program each semester at an additional cost (approximately $800 per semester). There are 5 dinner meals a week at the CATT.
The Cougar Nutrition Program provides pre and post workout meals/snacks as well as an ala carte lunch (Cougar Express) to all eligible members of WSU Athletics Teams at no additional cost to the student-athlete.
The Cougar Sports Nutrition Staff is committed to providing all student-athletes access to highly nutritious and performance based meals as well as refueling for pre and post workouts. All meals will enhance recovery and assist with lean body mass management strategies. CATT represents a high benchmark for excellence in food creativity, taste, presentation, and performance-based nutrition education.
