Glenn Johnson Featured on Cougar Athletic Fund Website
Saturday's Apple Cup will mark the conclusion of the 35th consecutive season Glenn Johnson has helmed the Martin Stadium microphone as the public address announcer for Cougar football.
Johnson, known as the "Voice of the Cougars," is featured on the Cougar Athletic Fund website, CougarAthleticFund.com. In addition to exploring why Johnson chose to become a CAF member and his love for WSU, the story explains how Johnson's iconic catchphrase, "And that's Another Cougar First Down!" came to be.
"Being on campus, working with the wonderful people you meet over the years and the great students, and to see them come back, that's the joy of being a Coug,” he said. “I will wear the Cougar logo and as soon you see a fellow Coug at the airport, you say, 'Go Cougs!' It's fun. That's the family you don't see at other schools."
