HOMETOWN: Carson, Calif.

HIGH SCHOOL: San Pedro High, 1993 - Coached by Michael Walsh, playing wide receiver and free safety...as a SENIOR one of the most versatile players in the state, helping Pirates to LA City Section 3-A championship...caught 24 passes for 424 yards and six touchdowns...on defense had 65 tackles and four interceptions...received six votes (possible 10) for the Best in the West list by the Long Beach Press Telegram and was named to the Western 100 by the Tacoma News Tribune.

COLLEGE: Washington State University, 1998 - Earned a degree in history while earning four varsity football letters for head coach Mike Price...after a redshirt season in the fall of 1993, played for four consecutive seasons...came to WSU as a wide receiver and during his first three varsity seasons caught 52 passes for 626 yards and four touchdowns...moved to the defensive backfield during spring drills between his junior and senior seasons...as a senior played in all 12 games, including WSU's first Rose Bowl appearance in 67 years...recorded eight total tackles…recovered a fumble against Southwestern Louisiana for a touchdown…intercepted two passes one against Boise State and the other against Southwestern Louisiana…had two tackles against California…returned one kickoff four yards…received the following team awards: Special Teams Big Play - Southwestern Louisiana; Big Hit - Arizona.

RS-Freshman (1994-95): V-letter...saw action in the second half of the season as a backup...caught 13 passes for 183 yards with a 14.1 yards per-catch average...best game of the season came against Washington where he had three receptions for 71 yards...caught a long pass of 49 yards against Washington.

RS-Sophomore (1995-96): V-letter...started all games at flanker...tied for third on the team with 32 receptions for 333 yards and two touchdowns...had 4 catches for 51 yards against UCLA...caught eight passes for 76 yards at USC...scored the first touchdown of his career on a Chad Davis pass against Oregon...had two catches for 25 yards and one touchdown against Stanford...received three weekly team awards: Most Disciplined Offense - UCLA; Big Hit - Nebraska; Pac-10 Offense - USC.

RS-Junior (1996-97): V-letter...played in all 11 games...caught seven passes for 112 yards...hauled in three passes against SJSU for 36 yards...also caught passes against Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA and Stanford...scored three times, once against Oregon and was on the receiving end of a reverse pass from teammate Shawn McWashington against Oregon State...averaged 16.0 yards per catch...as a member of the special teams returned an onside kick 50 yards for a touchdown against SJSU...received three weekly team awards: Specialist of the Week - SJSU; Special Teams Big Play - SJSU; Most Disciplined Offense - Arizona.

RS-Semior (1997-98): During spring drills moved to a safety spot on defense and quickly earned a second team spot…V-letter…played in all 12 games as a backup safety and a member of special teams…recorded eight total tackles…recovered a fumble against Southwestern Louisiana for a touchdown…intercepted two passes one against Boise State and the other against Southwestern Louisiana…best game came against California with two total tackles…returned one kickoff four yards…received the following team awards: Special Teams Big Play - Southwestern Louisiana; Big Hit - Arizona.
