John McDonnell - Offensive Line

JOHN MCDONNELL BORN: June 2, 1959 (37), Spokane, Wash.

HOMETOWN: Spokane, Wash.

HIGH SCHOOL: Gonzaga Prep (Spokane, Wash.), 1977 - Earned two varsity letters for head coach Don Anderson as an offensive tackle and an All-Spokane pick...senior year team lost in State quarterfinals... earned single letters in basketball and track (shot put).

COLLEGE: Carroll (Montana) College, 1981 - Earned four varsity football letters... as a senior, named NAIA first team All-American as an offensive tackle...three-time All-Frontier Conference tackle.

COACHING EXPERIENCE: Scobey (Montana) High, 1981-83 - Head football coach...rebuilt a sagging program that had not won a game in two years...second year at Scobey directed the team into the state playoffs.

Weber State College, 1984-88 - Spent the first season as a part-time coach... elevated to a full time position in 1985...spent four years as Wildcats' offensive line coach and served as the team's academic coordinator during that time...WSC led NCAA I-AA schools in total offense in 1985 and in 1987 finished third nationally.

Washington State University, 1989-Present.
