Attended Milpitas High, where he was coached by Kelly King ... earned two varsity each in football and track ... tailback and defensive back ... as a SENIOR named to the All-Santa Clara Valley first team as a defensive back ... recorded 65 tackles and ran back one interception ... rushed for 900 yards and 16 touchdowns ... caught 30 passes for 380 yards and two touchdowns ... football team captain ... played in the Almaden Rotary All-Star game ... named the team's outstanding runner by vote of his track teammates...ran 48.7 in the 400m and 21.9 in 200m.
WHITE'S WSU CAREER
Freshman (1997-98): Redshirt season ... switched from defensive back to wide receiver during spring drills.
RS-Freshman (1998-99): V-letter...played in 10 games with one start, Stanford...caught 13 passes for 202 yards...only two scoring receptions came at Stanford when he hauled in four passes for 116 yards, the longest a 75-yard scoring strike from Paul Mencke...also caught four passes in the season-opener against Illinois for 38 yards...three passes caught for 39 yards at Arizona...missed the ASU game with a left shoulder sprain...earned the following game award: Cougar Claw - California.
RS-Sophomore (1999-00): Suspended from all team activities during the summer and fall semesters...continued academic work at Ohlone JC in the fall, then transferred credits back to WSU and returned to school in January, 2000...participated in spring drills.
