HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned five varsity letters at Bothell High...two as a receiver/defensive back for coach Tom Bainters' football team...three as a pole vaulter on coach Drew Langland's track team....placed first in District 2 meet in pole vault as a sophomore...as a junior set school record in pole vault (15'0) and place fourth at the 4a state meet...as a senior started both ways on the football team (WR/DB) record school record of 4 interceptions in one game...place first in both league and district meets (pole vault) and place second in the state 4a meet (pole vault)...set school record in pole vault 15'9" as a senior.
PERSONAL. Born John Joshua Winters IV, March 3, 1988 at Seattle...Father John Winters III, manager of an auto glass store, WSU Alumni and was on the Cougar track and field team...mother Jan Winters, is a teacher and music specialist...interested in studying Kinesiology at WSU.
