Women’s Golf set for Juli Inkster Invitational at TPC Harding Park

PULLMAN, Wash. (March 7, 2026) – Washington State Women's Golf heads to San Francisco for the Juli Inkster Invitational held at TPC-Harding Park set for March 9-10.
The Course and Tournament Format
The Juli Inkster Invitational will played at the TPC - Harding Park in San Francisco.
The course will play as a par-72 at 6,275 yards.
Teams will play 36 holes Monday and 18 holes Tuesday.

Two Cougs Fire Rounds Under Par at Westbrook Invitational
Washington State Women's Golf saw Kaitlyn Helm and Sara Pineros each fired final rounds under par at the Westbrook Invitational in Arizona February 23. Junior Sara Pineros recorded a career-best two-under 70 in the final round and freshman Kaitlyn Helm posted a one-under 71 in her final round. Helm, who had four birdies in Monday's final round, led the Cougars at two-under for the tournament and tied for 31st while senior Hannah Harrison was one shot behind Helm at one-under for the tournament. Pineros finished the tournament tied for 54th, sophomore Agnes Brink finished 73rd and sophomore Grace Rubelsky tied for 77th. The Cougars finished the tournament tied for 13th with Colorado State at plus ten and one shot back of Penn State.
WSU Records Pair of Wins at Matchplay Classic
WSU closed out the Mountain Matchplay Classic with an impressive 4-0-1 victory over Utah Valley at The Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif. Feb. 9-11. The Cougars beat Weber State in the opening round and dropped a decision to Montana State in round two.
Helm Earns Preseason All-WCC Honors, WSU Picked Fourth
Washington State Women's Golf freshman Kaitlyn Helm was named to the Preseason All-West Coast Conference Team in a vote by the conference's coaches, the WCC announced January 29. Helm was one of three freshman named to the 10-member preseason team. The Phoenix native led the Cougars with three Top-15 finishes including a pair of Top-8 finishes in the fall. Helm was atop the leaderboard for most of the Badger Invitational before tying for third highlighted by an opening-round 66, tying the WSU single-round record by a freshman and tied for the second-lowest round by all players in program history. Helm tied for No. 13 at The Blessings Collegiate in Arkansas and closed the fall tying for eighth at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Hawaii highlighted by an opening-round 68.
The Cougars were also picked to finish fourth in the eight-team league this season. Pepperdine was picked to finish first, followed by Oregon State and Santa Clara before the Cougars. Gonzaga and Seattle U tied for fifth with San Francisco seventh and Augusta eighth.
Women's Golf Inks NLI With Cerenzia, Gubernick
Washington State Women's Golf signed Melia Cerenzia and Madalyn Gubernick to 2026 National Letters of Intent, head coach Kevin Tucker announced November 12. Cerenzia and Gubernick will both join the program next fall for the 2026-27 season. Cerenzia is out of Spokane, Wash. and played at West Valley High School where she was a four-year letterwinner and a three-time All-Greater Spokane League selection heading into her senior season this spring. Cerenzia, who's sister Spencer played golf at Eastern Washington and cousin, Chad Carlson played golf at WSU, was named the 2A League MVP as a freshman and junior and won the 2A WIAA State Championship as a sophomore. Gubernick is out of Scottsdale, Ariz. and attended IMG Academy in Florida the last three years after playing her freshman season at Xavier College Prep with current Cougar sophomore Grace Rubelsky. While playing in the Junior Golf Association of Arizona tournaments, Gubernick posted fiveTop-10 finishes including three Top-3 finishes in 2024, four more Top-10's in 2025 including runner-up at the USGA Girls Junior Amateur Qualifier and was third at the AJGA Wyndham Clark this past summer.

Washington State Women's Golf used an impressive final round to climb three spots and finish sixth at the 29th Rainbow Wahine Invitational played at the Ocean Course at Hokuala in October. The Cougars tied for the third-best team score (-3) during Wednesday's final round to finish the tournament sixth at ten-over, ahead of San Diego State, Kansas, Grand Canyon, Long Beach State, Boise State, Hawaii and Nevada. WSU finished just two strokes behind fifth-place BYU while No. 25 Baylor won the event at 13-under.
Freshman Kaitlyn Helm led the way for Washington State, carding four birdies in her final-round 70 to move up two spots and tie for eighth at three-under.
Pair of Cougs Post Top-30 Finishes at The Blessings Collegiate
A pair of Washington State women's golfers posted Top-30 finishes at The Blessings Collegiate hosted by the University of Arkansas October 1. Freshman Kaitlyn Helm used three birdies to card a final-round 75 to tie for 13th at ten-over while junior Sara Pineros led the Cougs with a final-round 74 to move up ten spots and tied for 28th. Sophomore Agnes Brink tied for 42nd, senior Hannah Harrison tied for 46th and sophomore Grace Rubelsky closed her tournament with a round of 77 and finished 53rd. Washington State finished ninth (+69, 933), just behind Missouri and Maryland. Eighth-ranked Arkansas won the tournament.
Kaitlyn Helm Ties for Third at Badger Invitational
Washington State Women's Golf freshman Kaitlyn Helm tied for third at the Badger Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin September 16. The freshman from Phoenix capped her week with an even-par 72 to finish the 54-hole tournament at seven-under (209). Helm's mark of seven-under tied for the fourth-best 54-hole mark in program history while her score of 209 tied for the fifth-best 54-hole score in program history. Helm tied for the second-best round in program history with an opening-round 66, posted a second-round 71 and used five birdies to record a final round 72, finishing two strokes back of the winner. Sophomore Grace Rubelsky closed her tournament with a final-round 73 to tie for 28th and senior Hannah Harrison posted a three-over 75 to tie for 35th. WSU moved up one spot on the final day to finish fifth out of the 14 competing teams, finishing ahead of Iowa and host Wisconsin.
Cougars Close Out Opening Week in New Mexico
Washington State Women's Golf closed out play at the season-opening Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational hosted by the University of New Mexico September 9. Junior Alice Johansson paced the Cougs tying for 11th at three-over after posting a final-round 74 while sophomore Agnes Brink closed her tournament at nine-over. Senior Hannah Harrison and freshman Kaitlyn Helm each wrapped up WSU's opening week with final rounds of 75. Johansson and Helm each tallied three birdies during Tuesday's final round while Harrison posted an even-par 36 on the back nine. WSU finished in tenth out of 15 teams, ahead of Fresno State and UNLV, and just behind host New Mexico.
Darcy Habgood Returns to Cougar Women's Golf as Assistant Coach
Former Washington State Women's Golf standout Darcy Habgood is returning to the program as an assistant coach this past summer. In five seasons (2018-23) at WSU, Habgood recorded three Top-5 finishes, was ninth at the 2022 Pac-12 Conference Championships and closed her career qualifying for the 2023 NCAA Regional. The Nambucca Heads, Australia native led the Cougars in scoring average her final two seasons and posted the fourth-best scoring average in program history at 74.51. Following her collegiate career, Habgood reached stage two of LPGA Q-School and played on the Epson Tour before returning to work at the Nambucca Heads Island Golf Club in Australia. Habgood was a three-time WGCA All-America Scholar, a four-time Pac-12 All-Academic selection and graduated with a degree in public relations and marketing along with a minor in sports management.
