Cougs in the NFL | Abraham Lucas, Seahawks Win Super Bowl LX

PULLMAN, Wash. (February 9, 2026) – Fourteen Washington State Cougars wrapped up the NFL regular season, six continued their seasons in the playoffs, two played in Super Bowl LX and Abraham Lucas and the Seattle Seahawks won Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara.
 
WSU had a player in the Super Bowl for the fourth straight season and fifth in the last six seasons. Deone Bucannon won Super Bowl LV (2021) with Tampa Bay, Jaylen Watson of Kansas City beat Andre Dillard and Garnder Minshew II with Philadelphia in Super Bowl LVII (2023), Watson and Kansas City won Super Bowl LVIII (2024), Watson and Jaden Hicks played in Super Bowl LIX (2025), Abraham Lucas of Seattle beat Kyle Williams of New England in Super Bowl LX (2026).
 
Abraham Lucas | OT | Seattle Seahawks
Lucas started at right tackle and played in all 72 offensive snaps and seven special teams snaps in the Seahawks Super Bowl win over the Patriots. The Seahawks rushed for 141 yards in the 29-13 win in Santa Clara. Playing in his fourth NFL season, Lucas started all 20 games at right tackle this season.
 
Kyle Williams | WR | New England Patriots
Williams played 17 offensive snaps, eight special teams snaps and had a seven-yard catch against the Seahawks. In his rookie season, Williams has appeared in 19 games and made 11 catches for 216 yards and three touchdowns.

In his second NFL season, appeared in all 17 games, made three starts with 49 tackles, shared a sack and broke up four passes.
 
Brennan Jackson | DE | Las Vegas Raiders
In his second NFL season, appeared in three games and made three tackles before suffering season-ending injury.
 
Cam Lampkin | CB | Los Angeles Rams
Lampkin is on the practice squad and did not play in the Rams' loss at the Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game. In his second NFL season, Lampkin is on the Rams practice squad and has not appeared in a game this season.
 
Frankie Luvu | LB | Washington Commanders
In his eighth NFL season, started all 17 games and made 86 tackles with three sacks, six pass breakups and two forced fumbles.
 
Gardner Minshew II | QB | Kansas City Chiefs
In his seventh NFL season, appeared in four games, one as a starter before suffering an injury. Completed 6-of-13 passes for 37 yards.
 
Esa Pole | OL | Kansas City Chiefs
In his rookie season, appeared in three games and made two starts at left tackle.
 
Chau Smith-Wade | CB | Carolina Panthers
In his second NFL season, appeared in 16 games, six as a starter and made 56 tackles with two pass breakups and one interception returned for a touchdown.
 
Jalen Thompson | S | Arizona Cardinals
In his seventh NFL season, started all 15 games appeared in and made 95 tackles with one sack, six pass breakups and one forced fumble.
 
Jaylen Watson | CB | Kansas City Chiefs
In his fourth NFL season, started all 15 games appeared in and made 64 tackles with two sacks, six pass breakups and two interceptions. Missed final two games with an injury.
