Cougs Head North to Riverfront Invitational at the Podium

SPOKANE, Wash. — Washington State Track heads north to Spokane for the Riverfront Invitational this weekend. Coug athletes will look to add to their success of the indoor track season with athletes competing in the 400m, 800m, Mile, and 3000m races. WSU will send Lashanna Graham, Hanna Bailey, Nicole Yanasak, Evelina Sitnika, Lauren Hoyt, Kaleena Narus, and Jessica Duran to compete.

Competing schools at the meet include Boise State, Central Washington, Eastern Washington, and other schools from the Pacific Northwest and California.

WSU will begin its weekend in Spokane at 3 pm PT on Friday with Hanna Bailey competing in the Women's 800m.

Last Time Out – UW Invite and Inland NW Invitational (Jan. 30-31, 2026)
Rosemary Longisa made history at Dempsey Indoor, running a 4:24.59 mile—the third-fastest time in NCAA history, the fastest in Division I this season, and a new UW Invitational and WSU program record. Teammate Zenah Cheptoo also etched her name into the record books with a personal best 4:38.61, the second-fastest mile in WSU history, while Nicole Bissell and several others posted strong finishes and personal bests. Overall, it was a record-setting day for Washington State as 17 Cougs set personal bests, highlighted by standout performances from both the women's and men's squads.
