CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Washington State men's basketball team lost to the Oregon State Beavers, 64-74, Wednesday night in Corvallis, Oregon. The Cougars held a 17-point second-half lead that slipped away as the Beavers rallied for the win.
 
The late-night tipoff started sloppy with both sides shooting under 30% in the opening minutes. The Cougars found their rhythm in the final minutes of the opening half, closing the period on a 19-7 run. WSU entered the locker room leading 34-23, extending the lead to as many as 17 points early in the second half.
 
Oregon State rallied over the next 10 minutes, battling back to take their first lead of the second half with six minutes remaining. The Cougars clawed back, trading three ties and three lead changes back and forth before the Beavers secured their final lead with three minutes on the clock and closed it out at the freethrow line.
 
Ace Glass led the Cougars with 17 points, making five three-pointers, his 21st double-digit scoring game. Glass added five rebounds, complementing Eemeli Yalaho and ND Okafor with six rebounds each. Okafor also delivered three blocked shots, increasing his season total to 37 rejections. The Cougars made a season-low 17 field goals
 
The Cougars return to Pullman to host Santa Clara in the programs' only regular-season meeting, Saturday, February 7, at 3 p.m. and streamed on ESPN+. WSU will be wearing custom alternate white uniforms, dubbed "The Clocktower Collection," with fans encouraged to dress in white at Beasley Coliseum.
