PULLMAN, Wash. (October 3, 2026) — Washington State women's volleyball lost to San Diego State 3-0 Saturday, falling by set scores of 11-25, 20-25, and 18-25 at Bohler Gym.

The Cougars finished with 27 kills and 21 attack errors, while San Diego State hit .217 with 36 kills and 16 errors. Wazzu held an 8-4 edge in total blocks.

Naomi White finished with five kills and a team-high five blocks for 7.5 points.

Kambree Rodriguez collected a team-high 12 digs.

Audrey Hollis recorded a team-high 12 assists and added two kills.

Mary Healy added five kills, five digs, and two blocks.

Eliana Ti'a opened the set with a kill from Livia Ward, but San Diego State answered with five straight points, including a kill and three WSU errors, to move ahead 5-1. The Cougars cut it to 5-3 on a block by Ti'a and White and an Emerson Matthews kill, yet San Diego State rebuilt the margin with kills on the way to 13-6. Healy and Ti'a added kills as Wazzu reached nine points, but San Diego State pushed the set to 20-9 behind three kills during that stretch and later closed it with the final two points for a 25-11 result.

WSU opened the second set with White's kill and a San Diego State attack error for a 2-0 lead, but San Diego State pulled even at 2-2 and the teams traded points to 4-4. San Diego State then scored six straight points to move ahead 10-4, with kills around several Cougar errors, before Hollis' kill and a Kryssa Moerman-Hollis block helped WSU get back to 10-7. San Diego State kept the lead from shrinking further with multiple kills, reaching 22-16 before kills by Hollis and Whitney Dewicki brought the Cougs within 22-18. After San Diego State reached set point at 24-18, Healy's kill and a San Diego State attack error extended the set, but a WSU service error closed San Diego State's 25-20 set win.

WSU built a 10-6 lead in the third set behind early kills from White, Matthews, Livia Ward, and Dewicki. San Diego State answered with eight straight points, including kills, to move in front 14-10 before extending the margin to 16-11. The Cougars came back with four straight points, getting a White kill, a Maddy Joswick ace, and a block by Healy and White to pull within 16-15. San Diego State responded by scoring four straight to reach 20-15, and after Wazzu got back to 20-17 on a Ti'a kill and a Dewicki-White block, San Diego State closed out the set 25-18.

- Kryssa Moerman reached 100 points for the season, totaling 102 after contributing three against SDSU.
