PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State took on Texas State for the final home game of the season on Sunday, October 25, at Lower Soccer Field. The Cougs took the lead in the first half but conceded a goal late to draw the match 1-1. WSU finished the home schedule with just a single loss in seven home matches.

Late in the first half, freshman Raina Tifft shot the ball, and the Texas State keeper parry-saved it. The ball ping-ponged around the box before fellow freshman Camille Brophy put the ball in the back of the net in the 40th minute for her first collegiate goal. Tifft got the assist for her first collegiate assist. The Cougs went into the second half with a 1-0 lead over the visiting Bobcats.

In the second half, the Cougars conceded a penalty in the 67th minute after video review, and Texas State stepped up to take the kick. Dvorak saved the shot for her second penalty save of the season.

After a dominant second half in front of the Texas State goal, the Bobcats countered and crossed from the right side of the pitch, and Meza headed it in for 1-1 in the 89th minute equalizer.

Washington State had a season-high 30 shots Sunday, with 16 in the first half and 14 in the second; both totals are season highs for shots in a half.
