Washington State Tennis Signs JoLynn Garrett Through Team Impact

PULLMAN, Wash. (Jan. 7, 2026) – Today, Washington State University Tennis announced a new team member, signing 10-year-old JoLynn Garrett through Team IMPACT.

JoLynn, who is navigating life with Williams syndrome, officially signed with the team today in Pullman. She will participate in many activities with Washington State Tennis, including games, practices, and other team events, over the next two years.

Team IMPACT, a national non-profit organization, has developed a unique multiyear program that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams across the country. Based on a clinical model, Team IMPACT guides a symbiotic relationship between teams and children focused on socialization, empowerment, and resilience.

"We are excited to welcome JoLynn to the Cougar Tennis family," said WSU Head Coach Josh Graetz. "She has already made quick friendships with the team and we look forward to having her a part of our program for the coming years. Let's Go JoLynn!"
