Ace Glass Wins Third WCC Freshman of the Week

PULLMAN, Wash. – For the third time this season, Washington State men's basketball freshman Ace Glass was named the West Coast Conference Freshman of the Week, Monday by the conference. Glass earned the weekly conference honor for the first time since WCC action started, delivering a league high 29 points at San Diego and adding 18 points in Saturday's win over Pepperdine.
 
Ace Glass has scored in double figures for 11-consecutive games, including every WCC game, and has delivered at least 10 points in 17 of the last 18 games. At San Diego Wednesday night, the California kid dropped a game-high 29 points, his best outing in conference action. Glass also grabbed a career-high seven rebounds and two steals in a season-high 38 minutes of action.
 
Saturday against Pepperdine, Glass scored 18 points, bringing his season average to 16.8 points per game. Against the Waves, he also matched his career high with five assists. The Rialto, California native sits fourth in the West Coast Conference overall and the best scoring average of any freshman in the League. Glass ranks 14th nationally in freshman scoring. From the floor, Glass is shooting 48.3 percent, fifth in the WCC, and ninth nationally for a freshman guard.
 
Glass earned his first WCC weekly award, December 1, 2025, after he broke the WSU freshman single-game scoring record, scoring 40 points against Arizona State in the Maui Invitational semifinals. He added a second Freshman of the Week honor December 22 with double-digit performances in wins over Eastern Washington and Mercer.
 
The Cougars continue a three-game home stand Wednesday, January 28, hosting Seattle U at Beasley Coliseum. WSU and SU will tip off at 6:30 p.m. with coverage on ESPN+.
