PULLMAN, Wash. (Jan. 22, 2026) -- Due to expected severe weather this weekend in the southeastern part of the country, Washington State Women's Tennis will not travel to Athens, Ga. for the 2026 ITA Kickoff Weekend Georgia Regional. The Cougars were scheduled to face San Diego State in Saturday's first round while No. 1 Georgia was set to host Maryland. WSU, Maryland and San Diego State all cited safety concerns with travel and elected not to make the trip.

The Cougars are next in action Friday, Jan. 30 when they host Fresno State in their home opener. That match is scheduled for4 p.m. at Hollingbery Fieldhouse.
