PULLMAN, Wash. (January 9, 2026) – Fourteen Washington State Cougars wrapped up the NFL regular season and six continued their seasons in the playoffs.
 
Here is how the NFL Cougs faired in last weekend's opening round of the playoffs.
 
Daniel Ekuale | DL | Pittsburgh Steelers
Ekuale is on injured reserve and did not play in the loss to Texans.
 
Daiyan Henley | LB | Los Angeles Chargers
Henley started, picked off a pass and made a game-high 13 tackles in the loss at the Patriots.
 
Cam Lampkin | CB | Los Angeles Rams
Lampkin is on the practice squad and did not play in the Ram's 34-31 win at the Panthers.
 
Abraham Lucas | OT | Seattle Seahawks
Lucas and the Seahawks are the top seed in the NFC and had a bye last weekend.
 
Chau Smith-Wade | CB | Carolina Panthers
Smith-Wade made four tackles in the loss to the Rams.
 
Kyle Williams | WR | New England Patriots
Williams had a seven-yard catch and played 21 offensive snaps in the win over Chargers.
