PULLMAN, WASH. – Washington State Cross Country team will open its season with the 2026 Cougar Classic on Friday, September 11, at Colfax Golf Club. The women’s 6-kilometer race will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the men’s 8-kilometer race will start at 6 p.m.
The Cougars’ 2026 squads both earned preseason honors, including top-25 national rankings for the No. 21-ranked women’s team and the No. 11-ranked men’s team.
The Cougars compete in four regular-season meets this fall, including the Cougar Classic, Friday, September 12, in Colfax. The 2026 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships will be hosted in Boise, Idaho, on Friday, October 30, at the Warm Springs Golf Course.
