CRIMSON & GRAY INTRASQUAD MEET
The Crimson & Gray Intrasquad meet is a preseason meet for the Cougs and the first meet of the year. It will be held at Gibb Pool at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026.
RUSSELL WHITAKER RETURNS AS HEAD COACH
Russell Whitaker is back for his third year as Head Coach at WSU. Last year, Whitaker led the Cougs to their best season in program history, getting second in the Mountain West Championship, 12 All-Conference swimmers, four All-Conference relay teams, and two All-American Selected Swimmers. The Cougs also set 16 new school records, nine Gibb Pool records, and set 47 WSU Top-10 times. He also had two swimmers compete at the NCAA Championships. These achievements earned him Mountain West Coach Of The Year honors.
JACKIE MUDD BECOMES ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH
Over the offseason, Head Coach Russell Whitaker promoted Mudd to Associate Head Coach. In her first year at WSU, she helped the team reach an undefeated season, finishing second in the Mountain West Championship, with 12 All-Conference swimmers, four All-Conference relay teams, and two All-American Selected Swimmers. Glowing words from Coach Whitaker about creating a culture and connecting with the young women on the team are reasons for the appointment. We look forward to her helping the team grow further in the Pac-12 and the new season.
PARKER HUGHES NAMED ASSISTANT COACH
This past August, Head Coach Russell Wintaker announced Hughes as an assistant coach. Hughes previously swam at Michigan as a freshman and sophomore, helping the team win the Big Ten Conference Championships in 2019, and earned Academic All-District honors in 2020 and 2021. He then swam his last three seasons at TCU as a team captain for his final two seasons and earned CSC Academic All-District honors. Hughes has his bachelor’s degree in applied exercise science from Michigan and a master’s degree from TCU in exercise physiology and biomechanics.
ALL-AMERICAN DARCY REVITT COMES BACK FOR HER JUNIOR YEAR
First-time All-American Darcy Revitt returns for her third year at WSU. Her 2025-26 season included 14 wins, bringing her all-time total to 26 as a Coug. She set two new school record times in the 50 Free (21.84) and 100 Free (47.64). Along with being apart of three record school relay times in the 200 Free Relay (1:29:62), 400 Free Relay (3:19:38), and 400 Medley Relay (3:33:12). Revitt also set three record Gibb Pool times in the 50 Free (22.49), 100 Free (48.75), and the 200 Free (1:47:85). She also was apart of setting three Gibb Pool relay record times in the 200 Free Relay (1:30:92), 400 Free Relay (3:16:35), and 400 Medley Relay (3:33:12). She was on the CSC All-District Team, had her first Acedemic honor, and made her second NCAA Championship apperance getting 16th place in the 100 Free.
WELCOME NEW COUGS!
WSU Swim welcomes eight new freshmen to the team, including Grace Carrington, Audrey Hill, London Hughes, Ffion Humphreys, Ivy Ladrow, Lauren Sexton, Halin Song, and Marlee Winser, for their first collegiate season. And five transfer students, including Adalynn Ascher, Addison Cerney, Natalie Holmes, Kodi Wiman, and Sloan Zallen, for their first season as a Coug!
