Boise, Idaho (Sept. 20, 2026) – The Washington State tennis team concluded its weekend at the Barb Chandler Classic at the Appleton Tennis Center and Julia Davis Park.
The Cougars started Saturday, falling to Utah and Washington in doubles. In singles Chisato Kanemaki overtook her Weber State opponent 7-5, 6-2. In the second round of singles Yura Nakagawa battled it out in three sets coming out on top against her Weber State opponent.
The Cougars opened the third and final day with a win from Gabriella Harper and Yura Nakagawa in doubles against Weber State. Ava-Monet Sycamore and Chisato Kanemaki also took down their Weber State opponent.
