• WSU wins its home-opener for the fifth straight season
• WSU had two running backs rush for 100+ yards for the first time since 2005 (Jerome Harrison – 113, DeMaundray Woolridge – 105, vs Grambling State in Seattle)
• WSU returned two punts for touchdowns, matching the school record, just the third time in school history (at San Jose State – 1968, vs Idaho in 1973)
• WSU rushed for 316 yards, the first 300-yard rushing game since 2024 (303, Utah State) and most since 2006 (344, Idaho)
• Head Coach Kirby Moore recorded his first career win

• Isaiah Hung started at linebacker, made his first career start, made four tackles including his first career tackle for loss
• Jonny Lester started at left guard, started the first two games at right tackle
• Caden Pinnick threw two touchdowns and rushed for another, his second rushing touchdown of the season, rushed for 76 yards
• Maxwell Woods rushed for 116 yards on 11 carries, one yard from a career-high and his second career 100-yard game, (117 vs Utah State, 2025)
• Kirby Vorhees rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns, his first 100-yard game as a Coug and second of his career (179, SDSU vs SE Louisiana, 2024)
• Branden Ganashamoorthy set career-highs with four catches for 67 yards
• Tank Hawkins had a 30-yard catch and 65 yard punt return for a touchdown
• Jack Pedersen caught his second career touchdown, first as a Coug (UCLA at LSU, 2024)
• Jaylen Thomas scored his second touchdown in as many weeks, returned a punt 47 yards for a touchdown, also made four tackles
