PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State Baseball have welcomed its 2026 signing class for the 2027 season, head coach Nathan Choate announced Thursday.
“We are very excited about the group of incoming players,” Choate said. “We have added both athleticism and size. This will be our deepest pitching staff since our coaching staff has been here. Coach Richards and Coach Hutting have done a great job identifying and recruiting the right type of players and people to our program. We are excited to get to work as a team.”
The Cougars are coming off a 2026 Mountain West Conference Tournament Championship and the program’s first trip back to the NCAA Tournament since 2010.
The following 19 players have joined the program this fall and will compete in the 2027 season.
Luke Bailey | RHP | 6-2, 185 | RS-Fr. | El Cajon, Calif. | UC Santa Barbara
Bailey is a transfer from UC Santa Barbara who was ranked No. 31 among pitchers in California by PBR out of high school. He helped lead Christian and Granite Hills High Schools to a CIF San Diego Open Division Championship and Grossmont Hills League title while earning San Diego Pitcher of the Year, Grossmont Hills League Pitcher of the Year, Second Team All-State, All-CIF and All-Grossmont Hills League honors. Bailey redshirted at UCSB last season.
Taron Carlson | RHP/INF | 6-0, 205 | Fr.| Kennewick, Wash. | Kamiakin HS
Carlson was named to the Washington 18U All-Tournament Team and helped lead Kamiakin High School to the state semifinals. The righthander/infielder was part of the PGBA tournament championship team and was ranked the No. 23 overall prospect in Washington and fifth among the state’s position players according to PBR.
Connor Coleman | LHP | 6-3, 205 | Fr. | Chehalis, Wash | W.F. West HS
Coleman was ranked by Perfect Game as the top left-handed pitcher and No. 10 overall player in Washington, while also earning a spot among the site’s top 500 players nationally. He was also selected to the Washington All-Tournament Team.
Blake Crancer | INF | 5-11, 180 | Normal, Ill. | Jr. | Des Moines Area CC
Crancer was ranked No. 17 among shortstops, No. 89 overall nationally by PBR and earned 2024 Third Team All-State honors in Illinois out of high school. Last season at Des Moines Area Community College, Crancer hit .342 with ten doubles, six homers, 35 RBI and 11 stolen bases.
Dylan Croall | RHP | 6-2, 165 | Fr. | Spokane, Wash. | Gonzaga Prep
Croall was ranked No. 18 among pitchers, No. 28 overall in Washington by Baseball Northwest and was named to the 2025 NWC All-Tournament Team. The righthander helped lead his team to the State Championship in 2026 after posting a 1.64 ERA and 118 strikeouts during his career.
Marcus Galvan | C | 5-9, 180 | Sr. | Chino, Calif. | Grand Canyon
Galvan transferred from Grand Canyon, where he spent three seasons with the Lopes, appearing in 84 games with 56 starts behind the plate. Out of high school, Galvan was ranked by Perfect Game as the No. 11 catcher and No. 97 overall player in California, as well as the No. 64 catcher nationally.
Jacob Hayes | 1B | 6-5, 235 | RS-Jr. | Anacortes, Wash. | Azusa Pacific
Hayes transferred from Azusa Pacific where he appeared in all 106 games across two seasons and earned 2025 PacWest Freshman of the Year and First Team All-PacWest honors as one of the conference’s top power hitters and first basemen. As a freshman in 2025, Hayes hit .332 with 19 homers and 46 RBI before hitting 13 doubles and 15 home runs as a sophomore last season.
Noah Hunter | RHP | 6-4, 188 | Fr. | Huntington Beach, Calif. | Edison HS
According to Perfect Game, Hunter was ranked No. 17 among right-handed pitchers and No. 49 overall in California, as well as No. 132 among RHP’s nationally. Out of Edison High School, Hunter was also named a Preseason All-American and earned California First Team All-Region honors.
Cole Ide | 1B | 6-1, 215 | Jr. | Honolulu, Hawaii | Santa Barbara CC
Ide joins WSU after playing the last two seasons at Santa Barbara City College, where he hit 13 home runs and drove in 70 runs over the last two years. Last season, Ide earned All-Western State Conference First Team honors after hitting .302 with seven doubles, 10 home runs and drove in 46 runs in 47 games.
Payson Lee | RHP | 6-5, 225 | Jr. Tucson, Ariz. | San Diego Mesa College
Lee joins WSU as a transfer from San Diego Mesa Community College where he posted a 3.91 ERA with 56 strikeouts in 66.2 innings last season. As a freshman in 2025, Lee made 17 appearances, earned three wins, notched three saves and posted a 2.72 ERA in 53 innings pitched.
Harvey Lieberman | LHP | 6-1, 155 | Fr. | Seattle, Wash. | Kennedy Catholic HS
According to Perfect Game, Lieberman was ranked the fourth-best left-handed pitcher and No. 38 overall in Washington. He was named a 2026 Preseason All-America West Region selection and earned a spot on the 2024 NWC All-Tournament Team by Baseball Northwest.
Conner Luetto | RHP | 6-3, 200 | Jr. | Chino Hills, Calif. | Citrus College
Luetto joins WSU as a transfer from Citrus College, where last season, he made 14 starts, earned All-Western State Conference South honors after going 5-2 with a 4.08 ERA, 87 strikeouts and 17 walks in 79.1 innings pitched.
Jack MacIntosh | RHP | 6-5, 200 | Sr. | Summerland, British Columbia | Southern Illinois
MacIntosh joins WSU after pitching at Southern Illinois last season where he earned three wins and three saves in 11 appearances while striking out 20 with six walks in 16.2 innings. Prior to SIU, MacIntosh played two seasons at Cloud County Community College where he played with current Cougars Scott Rienguette and Cam Macleod.
Cameron O’Neil | RHP | 6-2, 195 | Jr. | Torrance, Calif. | El Camino College
O'Neil joins WSU after a standout season at El Camino College, where he went 11-2 in 79.2 innings with 62 strikeouts across 14 appearances, including 13 starts. He earned All-Region honors as a sophomore and previously played three seasons of varsity baseball at West Torrance High School.
Beau Ramsey | RHP | 6-6, 190 | So. | Middleton, Idaho | Umpqua CC
Ramsey joins WSU from Umpqua Community College where he started all 12 games he appeared in and posted a 1.19 ERA with 57 strikeouts. Baseball Northwest ranked him No. 10 among players at his position and No. 23 overall in Idaho out of high school.
Gage Reeser | INF | 5-10, 175 | Jr. | Lacey, Wash. | Yakima Valley CC
Reeser is a transfer from Yakima Valley College where he hit .367 with five doubles, three home runs, 28 RBI, 18 stolen bases and 39 runs scored last season. As a freshman in 2025, Reeser hit .381 with 12 doubles, four homers, 34 RBI and 13 stolen bases.
Ronan Scoffield | OF | 5-11, 185 | Fr. | Kirkland, Wash. | Juanita HS
Scoffield was ranked the third-best outfielders and No. 18 overall prospect in Washington, according to PBR. Out of Juanita High School, Scoffield was also named a Perfect Game Preseason All-America West Region Honorable Mention and earned All-Tournament Team honors at the 2026 Baum Bat NW event.
Brandon Stone | RHP/INF | 5-9, 175 | Fr. | Yakima, Wash. | East Valley HS
Stone was rated the top-ranked player at his position and No. 31 overall in Washington, according to PBR. Out of East Valley High School, Stone earned NWC All-Tournament Team honors in both 2024 and 2025 and was selected to the 2026 All-State Baseball Series.
Marwin Yu | C | 5-10, 190 | So. | Yilan, Taiwan | Shi-Yuan Senior HS
Yu represented Taiwan at the 2025 WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup, appearing in seven games as Taiwan captured a bronze medal.
