Three Cougs Post Top-25 Finishes at WCC Championships

FAIRFIELD, Calif. (April 27, 2026) – Three Cougars posted Top-25 finishes for Washington State Women's Golf at the 2026 West Coast Conference Championships Monday.
 
Freshman Kaitlyn Helm earned a Top-10 spot finishing tenth, sophomore Agnes Brink tied for 20th and senior Hannah Harrison finish 24th. Junior Sara Pineros tied for 28th and sophomore Grace Rubelsky tied for 31st.
 
Helm's final round of 73 lowered her season average to 73.92, breaking the WSU Freshman single-season record for scoring average. The freshman from Arizona recorded one birdie on the front nine before posting an even-par 36 on the back nine for a final-round one-over 73 to place tenth at five-over, tying for the tenth-best three-round score at a conference championship in program history.
 
Brink carded four birdies in her round of one-over 73 to tie for 20th and ten-over. Harrison was one-over on the front nine and closed her Cougar career with a two-over round of 75 to finish 24th at 11-over. Pineros and Rubelsky each recorded a pair of birdies during their final rounds.
 
As a team, WSU closed the week with a final-round 297 to finish fifth among the eight schools at plus-36. The round of 297 tied for the sixth-best round at a conference championship in program history while the total team score of 900 (+36) matches last season's mark for the sixth-best team score at a conference championship in program history.
 
The Course and Tournament Format
The WCC Championships played at Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, Calif., the same course as last season.
 
The course played as a par-72 at 6,174 yards.

Eight teams played 18 holes each day.

Helm Chasing Freshman Record
Freshman Kaitlyn Helm enters the WCC Championships averaging 73.96 per round this season, currently the WSU Single-Season record for a freshman (74.03, Alice Johansson, 2023-24).
