PULLMAN, Wash. (September 6, 2025) - Washington State improved to 2-0 with a 36-13 win over San Diego State at Gesa Field Saturday evening. Checkout the postgame notes from the win.

•      WSU captains; Caleb Francl, Brock Dieu, Raam Stevenson, Joshua Meredith
•      WSU improved to 2-0 for the fourth straight season
•      Jimmy Rogers is the first Cougar head coach to win his first two games at WSU since Mike Price in 1989
•      WSU recorded its first safety since 2021 (blocked punt out of end zone, fog game against Arizona in Pullman)
•      WSU tallied seven tackles-for-loss, three sacks, held San Diego State to 2-of-13 on third downs

•      Jaxon Potter threw for 257 yards and three touchdowns, his first career 3-TD game
•      Julian Duggar's three-yard rushing touchdown was his second career rushing touchdown
•      Kirby Vorhees set a career-high with 13 carries, finished with 67 yards
•      Trey Leckner caught a career-high six passes, his first and second touchdowns of the season, second and third of his career

•      Isaac Terrell recorded his first career sack, a safety in the second quarter, finished 1.5 sacks
•      Max Baloun recorded his fifth career sack
•      Jack Ellison made his first career tackle
•      Buddha Peleti shared a sack with Terrell, added two quarterback hurries
