Cougs in Pro Ball - Season Recap

PULLMAN, Wash. (September 29, 2025) – Kyle Manzardo makes the playoffs with the Guardians' unbelievable end to the season as nine Cougs end their MLB and MiLB seasons.

Kyle Manzardo | DH | Cleveland Guardians
Manzardo finishes the regular season with a .234 batting average in 470 total at bats during his second season in the major leagues. Manzardo hit 27 home runs, batting in 70 runs and stealing two bases. His best game of the season was against the Rockies at the end of July, hitting two home runs and three RBIs with nine total bases. He will look to help the Guardians in the playoffs, facing off in the Wild Card against the Tigers.
 
Ryan Walker | RHP | San Francisco Giants
Walker finished 5-7, pitching in 68 games and recording an ERA of 4.11. Walker had 60 strikeouts in 61.1 innings, with a career high 17 saves for the Giants. He only gave up 18 walk and 60 hits in the 68 games he played in.

Ian Hamilton | RHP | New York Yankees (Triple – A)
Hamilton started the year in the majors for the New York Yankees, pitching in 36 games, throwing a 4.28 ERA with a 2-1 record. He went down to the minor leagues in August and pitched in 19 games and threw 20 strikeouts.
 
Jonah Advincula | OF | Cleveland (Double – A)
Advincula played for the Guardians' Double-A affiliate, batting a .238 average with 5 home runs and 34 RBIs. Advincula had an impressive 43 stolen bases throughout his first season in Double-A.
 
Sam Brown | INF | Washington Nationals | Double – A
Sam Brown started the year playing for the Angles Double-A affiliate before getting traded midseason to the Washington Nationals, a part of the Luis Garcia trade. Brown had a .263 batting average with 8 home runs and 57 RBIs.
 
Zane Mills | RHP | St. Louis | Double – A
Mills finished the season 5-5, with a 4.75 ERA in 31 games played. He pitched 55 innings, recording 58 strikeouts and 1.33 WHIP. While he played almost all his season in Double-A, he got 2 games for the Triple-A Memphis Redbirds.
 
Dakota Hawkins | RHP | New York Mets | Triple – A
Hawkins played a majority of the season in High A but got the Triple A nod towards the end, plauoing three games in Triple-A. He pitched a total of 28 games, going 3-3, with a 2.44 ERA. He threw 58 strikeouts and had an impressive 1.01 WHIP.
 
Brandon White | RHP | Miami | High – A
Brandon White pitched in 23 games for Miami's High-A affiliate, throwing a 4.06 ERA in 93 innings, and recording a winning record of 7-4.

Will Cresswell | C | Toronto | Single-A
Cresswell was assigned to the team in mid-August and got 25 at-bats in which he batted 5 runs in and had a batting average of .200.
