Washington State women's volleyball is in Pullman for the first time in the 2025 season, hosting Washington on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. and then Eastern Washington on Friday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. in Bohler Gym.

ABOUT WASHINGTON STATE
The Cougars have opened the non-conference portion of their schedule with a strong 5-3 overall record after a trio of preseason tournaments, including close losses to No. 23 Utah and No. 24 Dayton in which they went toe-to-toe. Statistically, WSU has been one of the top teams in the nation in setting and attacking, ranking fourth in the nation in kills per set (14.80), fifth in assists per set (13.73) and 14th in attacks per set (37.33). Additionally, they rank 47th in digs per set (15.43), 60th in total assists (412) and 65th in total kills (444), and the team ranks first in the West Coast Conference in all six aforementioned statistical categories.

SERIES HISTORY
A pair of familiar foes are on-deck this week, starting with rival Washington on Wednesday in what will be their 79th meeting all-time with UW leading the series 56-22. Then Friday's match against EWU will be their 43rd-ever meeting with WSU leading the series 32-11.

WE LOVE LUCIE
Lucie Blazkova is fifth in the nation in hitting percentage with her mark of .482 through eight games this season. In the WCC she ranks first in hitting percentage, second in total points, third in both points per set and total blocks, and fourth in blocks per set.

BLAZKOVA'S BLOCKING
With 48 career solo blocks, the redshirt-sophomore is four away from entering the WSU all-time top 10 list in that category. The program record is 195, set by Carrie Couturier (1988-91).

ACES HIGH
Lucie Blazkova tied the WSU all-time single match record with 7 service aces in the season opener sweep of Lafayette on 8/29.
