Volleyball Sweeps Harvard in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – (September 12, 2025) – Washington State volleyball put together a complete performance on the road Friday night, sweeping Harvard in straight sets (26-24, 31-29, 25-22) at the Malkin Athletic Center.

The Cougars (4-3, 0-0 WCC) showed resilience in each frame, winning three sets behind balanced scoring, tough serving, and timely blocking.

Lucie Blažková paced the offense with 10 kills on .429 hitting, while Eliana Ti'a added another 10 kills and chipped in three blocks. Melina Christodoulou posted eight kills, and Camryn Lingenbrink was efficient at the net with four kills on .571 hitting to go along with four blocks.

The Cougar block came up huge, totaling 12 team rejections, including seven in the third set to close out the sweep. Kate Hayhurst and Blažková each combined on multiple key blocks, while Mary Healy and Maddy Joswick provided strong net presence off the bench.

At setter, Italia Bernal dished out 19 assists and served up two aces, while Livia Ward added 15 assists and a career-high three aces of her own. Tinons Munar Galmés sparked the back row with seven digs and two aces, anchoring a Cougar defense that limited Harvard to a .314 hitting percentage.

The Cougars dominated the service line, piling up 10 aces, and showed poise in the clutch by pulling away late in all three sets.
