CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – (September 12, 2025) – Washington State volleyball put together a complete performance on the road Friday night, sweeping Harvard in straight sets (26-24, 31-29, 25-22) at the Malkin Athletic Center.
The Cougars (4-3, 0-0 WCC) showed resilience in each frame, winning three sets behind balanced scoring, tough serving, and timely blocking.
Lucie Blažková paced the offense with 10 kills on .429 hitting, while
Eliana Ti'a added another 10 kills and chipped in three blocks.
Melina Christodoulou posted eight kills, and
Camryn Lingenbrink was efficient at the net with four kills on .571 hitting to go along with four blocks.
The Cougar block came up huge, totaling 12 team rejections, including seven in the third set to close out the sweep.
Kate Hayhurst and Blažková each combined on multiple key blocks, while
Mary Healy and
Maddy Joswick provided strong net presence off the bench.
At setter,
Italia Bernal dished out 19 assists and served up two aces, while
Livia Ward added 15 assists and a career-high three aces of her own. Tinons Munar Galmés sparked the back row with seven digs and two aces, anchoring a Cougar defense that limited Harvard to a .314 hitting percentage.
The Cougars dominated the service line, piling up 10 aces, and showed poise in the clutch by pulling away late in all three sets.
NOTES
- Blažková hit .429 on the day, having hit over .400 in each of the first seven matches of the season and is hitting .497 on the season.
- Blažková remains at 48 solo blocks for her career, four shy of entering the WSU all-time top-10 list.
- With 10 kills today, Eliana Ti'a has hit double-digit kills in four straight matches.

The Cougars have one final road non-conference match against Seton Hall on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. PT to close out the Harvard Invitational.
