PULLMAN, Wash. (July 28, 2025) – Thirteen Washington State Cougars continue their playing career throughout professional baseball including three in the big leagues.
                                                                           
 
Kyle Manzardo | DH | Cleveland Guardians
In 89 games with the Guardians this season, Manzardo is hitting .228 with 13 doubles, two triples, 16 home runs and 43 RBI to go along with 28 runs scored and one stolen base.
 
Ian Hamilton | RHP | New York Yankees
In 35 appearances, all but one out of the bullpen for the Yankees, Hamilton is 2-1 with four holds, a .197 batting average against and 42 strikeouts in 39.2 innings.
 
Ryan Walker | RHP | San Francisco Giants
In 45 appearances, all out of the bullpen for the Giants, Walker is 2-3 with 10 saves and seven holds with 41 strikeouts in 41.2 innings.
 
 
Jonah Advincula | OF | Cleveland (Double – A)
In 55 games played for the High-A Lake County Captains to start the season, Advincula hit .278 with 44 hits including five doubles, four triples, five home runs, 23 RBI, 29 runs scored and 26 of 34 in stolen bases. Advincula was promoted to Double-A Akron in late June, has appeared in 19 games, recorded 13 hits with three doubles, three RBI, eight runs scored and is 8-for-8 in stolen base attempts.
 
A.J. Block | LHP | Los Angeles Angels | Double – A
In 21 appearances, all out of the bullpen for the High-A Tri-City Dust Devils earlier this season, Block had 10 saves with 39 strikeouts and 1.82 ERA in 29.2 innings. Block was promoted to Double-A Rocket City in late June and has made 10 appearances with one start and struck out 19 in 17.2 innings.
 
Sam Brown | INF | Los Angeles Angels | Double – A
In 91 games played for the Rocket City Trash Pandas, Brown his hitting .248 with 75 hits including 12 doubles, four triples, five home runs, 40 RBI and 36 runs scored. Brown was recently named the Southern League Player of the Week.
 
Zane Mills | RHP | St. Louis | Double – A
In 19 appearances in 2025 including two for Memphis (Triple – A) and 17 for the Springfield Cardinals (Double – A), Mills owns four holds, a 3-4 record and 37 strikeouts in 40.0 innings.
 
Dakota Hawkins | RHP | New York Mets | High – A
Hawkins has made 16 appearances this season, 13 for the High-A team, one for the Double-A team and two for the Triple-A team. The righthander is currently with the Brookyln Cyclones (High – A), is 2-0 with one save and one hold in 13 appearances out of the bullpen with 29 strikeouts and a .143 batting average against in 24.0 innings.
 
Brandon White | RHP | Miami | High – A
In 17 appearances including six starts for the Beloit Sky Carp, White is 5-3 with two holds, one save and 47 strikeouts in 59.2 innings.
 
Will Cresswell | C | Toronto | Rookie Affiliate
Cresswell was drafted in the 18th round by the Toronto Blue Jays and has been assigned to FCL Blue Jays, the rookie affiliate.
 
 
Duke Brotherton | RHP | Tri-City | Frontier Independent League
In 15 appearances for Tri-City in New York, Brotherton owns one save and 19 strikeouts in 32.1 innings.
 
Grant Taylor | RHP | Glacier | Pioneer Independent League
In 11 starts for Glacier in Montana, Taylor owns three wins with 68 strikeouts in 64 innings.
 
Jacob Morrow | C | Cleburne | American Independent League
In 25 games for Cleburne in Texas, Morrow has 13 hits with three doubles, nine RBI and seven runs scored.
 
Connor Wilford | RHP | Tri-City | Frontier Independent League
In nine starts for Tri-City in New York, Wilford is 5-2 with 35 strikeouts and a 3.95 ERA in 54.2 innings.
