PULLMAN, Wash. (July 16, 2025) – Thirteen Washington State Cougars continue their playing career throughout professional baseball including three in the big leagues.
Kyle Manzardo | DH | Cleveland Guardians
In 82 games with the Guardians this season, Manzardo is hitting .217 with 11 doubles, two triples, 15 home runs and 37 RBI to go along with 27 runs scored and one stolen base.
Ian Hamilton | RHP | New York Yankees
In 31 appearances, all out of the bullpen for the Yankees, Hamilton is 1-0 with three holds, a .185 batting average against and 40 strikeouts in 36.1 innings.
Ryan Walker | RHP | San Francisco Giants
In 41 appearances, all out of the bullpen for the Giants, Walker is 2-3 with 10 saves and seven holds with 35 strikeouts in 37.1 innings.
Jonah Advincula | OF | Cleveland (Double – A)
In 55 games played for the High-A Lake County Captains to start the season, Advincula hit .278 with 44 hits including five doubles, four triples, five home runs, 23 RBI, 29 runs scored and 26 of 34 in stolen bases. Advincula was promoted to Double-A Akron in late June, has appeared in 14 games and recorded eight hits with three doubles, two RBI and is 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts.
A.J. Block | LHP | Los Angeles Angels | Double – A
In 21 appearances, all out of the bullpen for the High-A Tri-City Dust Devils earlier this season, Block had 10 saves with 39 strikeouts and 1.82 ERA in 29.2 innings. Block was promoted to Double-A Rocket City in late June and has made seven appearances, struck out 17 in 13 innings.
Sam Brown | INF | Los Angeles Angels | Double – A
In 83 games played for the Rocket City Trash Pandas, Brown his hitting .253 with 71 hits including 12 doubles, four triples, four home runs, 38 RBI and 32 runs scored. Brown was recently named the Southern League Player of the Week.
Zane Mills | RHP | St. Louis | Double – A
In 18 appearances in 2025 including two for Memphis (Triple – A) and 16 for the Springfield Cardinals (Double – A), Mills owns four holds, a 3-4 record and 36 strikeouts in 37 innings.
Dakota Hawkins | RHP | New York Mets | High – A
Hawkins has made 14 appearances this season, 11 for the High-A team, one for the Double-A team and two for the Triple-A team. The righthander is currently with the Brookyln Cyclones (High – A), is 2-0 with one save and one hold in 11 appearances out of the bullpen with 26 strikeouts and a .147 batting average against in 21.1 innings.
Brandon White | RHP | Miami | High – A
In 15 appearances including four starts for the Beloit Sky Carp, White is 3-3 with two holds, one save and 38 strikeouts in 45.2 innings.
Will Cresswell | C | TBA
Cresswell was drafted in the 18th round by the Toronto Blue Jays Monday.
Duke Brotherton | RHP | Tri-City | Frontier Independent League
In 13 appearances for Tri-City in New York, Brotherton owns one save and 17 strikeouts in 25.1 innings.
Grant Taylor | RHP | Glacier | Pioneer Independent League
In nine starts for Glacier in Montana, Taylor owns two wins with 50 strikeouts in 51 innings.
