PULLMAN, Wash. (June 17, 2025) – Washington State women's rowing had two named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District on Tuesday morning.
Seniors
Hannah Elliott and
Izabela Janecek each earned the honor. Janecek will advance as a finalist on the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
Elliott raced in seven events as a senior, helping the 1V4 place second overall at the WCC Championships (5/16-17) Grand Finals after a third-place preliminary run. She finished fourth in the 1V4 at the Lake Wheeler Invitational (4/26) ahead of then-No. 18 Duke and had four first-place finishes, including wins in both the 1V4 and 4V8 at the Head of the Spokane (10/19). Elliott also crossed first in the 1V4 at the Winchell Cup (4/5) and in the 2V4 at the Fawley Cup (4/19).
Janecek competed in all eight events for the Cougars as a senior, helping the WSU 1V8 to a third-place overall finish in the Grand Finals of the WCC Championships (5/16-17) after a second-place finish in the preliminaries. She placed fourth with the 1V8 ahead of then-No. 24 North Carolina both days of the Lake Wheeler Invitational (4/25-26) and was first in the 2V8 at the Head of the Lake (11/3). Janecek also placed second with the 1V8 at both the Winchell Cup (4/5) and the Fawley Cup (4/19).
