PULLMAN, Wash. – Brunel Madzou, an incoming freshman from Helsinki, Finland, signed a financial aid agreement (F.A.A.) with Washington State men's basketball to compete for the Cougs in the 2025-26 season, head coach
David Riley announced Sunday.
Madzou, a 6-foot guard, came up through Drive Academy in Helsinki, most recently competing with the EYBL U20 side. During the 2024-25 season, Madzou averaged 9.2 points per game over 12 games, shooting 49.2% from the floor, while dishing out 3.1 assists per game.
The Congolese-Finnish scored a season-high 21 points in a win over B.V.B.S. in February, before leading Drive to the U20 Finland Championship, scoring 10 points with six rebounds and three assists over 36 minutes in the final.
Madzou is the seventh student-athlete to sign an F.A.A. with WSU this offseason, joining freshmen Aaron Glass and Dominik Robinson, alongside transfers Simon Hildebrandt, Jerone Morton, Emmanuel Ugbo, and Eemili Yalaho.
