2025 Cougar Soccer Schedule Announced

PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State women's soccer team will play nine home games as part of its 19-game schedule for the upcoming 2025 season, the program announced in partnership with the West Coast Conference, Monday. All of WSU's home matches, as well as the entire WCC schedule will be streamed live via ESPN+ with at least 14 matches scheduled for digital delivery.

The Cougars' campaign begins Thursday, August 14, at Lower Soccer Field, playing host to Utah State in the inaugural athletic event of the new academic year. The Cougs tied the top-10 Aggies in Utah last year, blanking USU at home in the first road shutout of a top-10 opponent in five seasons.

WSU will make the short trip to Moscow, Idaho to play the Vandals in the only road trip of the month, Thursday, August 28. WSU and Idaho have met four times during Shulenberger's tenure in Pullman, with the Cougs defeating Idaho last season in Pullman, and making their first trip across the border since the 2014 season.

August concludes with a highly-anticipated matchup against Georgia at Lower Soccer Field, Sunday, August 31. The Bulldogs make the trip to the Palouse after WSU traveled to Athens last season in the programs' inaugural match.

The Cougs begin September on the road, making a three-game swing through California. Beginning Thursday, September 4, WSU travels to Berkeley to face familiar foe, California. The meeting marks the first match as non-conference opponents and the third-consecutive meeting in the East Bay.

WSU continues a swing through the Golden State with a weekend trip to UC San Diego, Thursday, September 11, and UC Irvine, Sunday, Sept. 14. Both programs traveled to Pullman last season and earned 1-1 draws at Lower Soccer Field.

North Dakota State travels to Pullman, Thursday, September 18, to face Washington State for the second time in program history. The Bison visited WSU during Shulenberger's second season at WSU in 2016, when then-freshman Morgan Weaver scored a hat trick in a 5-0 victory.

The final nonconference game of the season finds WSU in Missoula to face Montana, Sunday, Sept. 21. The Cougars are unbeaten against the Griz under Shulenberger's guidance, shutting out Montana in Pullman last year. September's trip marks the first visit to the Missoula campus since a 2017 scoreless draw.

Washington State begins its second and final season as affiliate members of the WCC, Wednesday, September 24, hosting new conference member Seattle U, in Pullman. The Cougars have won the previous two meetings and hold a 7-1 record against the Redhawks under Shulenberger's leadership.

The Cougars will conclude September hosting Santa Clara. WSU welcomes the nationally-ranked Broncos, Saturday, September 27, for the first meeting in Pullman since 2016. Last year, the Cougars visited the No. 10 Broncos and grabbed a 1-1 tie, picking up their second result over a top-10 opponent.

October begins with WSU traveling for its first conference road trip of the season, visiting San Diego, Saturday, October 4, and Saint Mary's, Wednesday, October 8. The Cougars hosted the Toreros and the Gaels in Pullman last season, picking up 1-0 wins over both programs.

WSU makes the quick trip home from Moraga to host Loyola Marymount, Saturday, October 11, the first of two home games in the month. The Cougars will get a week's respite before hosting Gonzaga, Saturday, October 18, at Lower Soccer Field.

Wazzu will conclude the month on the road, visiting familiar foe Oregon State, Wednesday, October 22, in Corvallis before wrapping up with a visit to Portland, Saturday, October 25. Last time in Portland, WSU earned its first all-time victory over the historic-powerhouse Pilots.

Three November matches conclude the 2025 regular season, beginning with a pair of final home matches, Saturday, November 1, against Pepperdine, and Wednesday, November 5, against San Francisco. The Waves travel to Pullman for the first time since 2004 and only the second time in program history. The Cougars will honor their senior student-athletes against San Francisco, hosting the Dons for the first time since 2005, and seeking a third-straight shutout of USF.

The 2025 regular season concludes on the road at Pacific, Saturday, November 8. WSU makes it second all-time trip to Stockton and first since the turn of the century.

The 2025 NCAA Tournament Selection Show takes place Monday, November 10, with the Cougars hoping to earn the 15th NCAA Tournament bid in program history and first since 2021. The 2025 NCAA Tournament begins, Nov. 14-16 and concludes with the College Cup, Dec. 5-8, in Kansas City, Missouri.
