2025 WCC Championships on Deck for Women’s Rowing

PULLMAN, Wash. (May 15, 2025) – After three weeks of training since their last competition at the Lake Wheeler Invitational, the Washington State women's rowing team is geared up for the WCC Championships, set for Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17 at Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif.
 
The Cougars will open things up in the first race of the day on Friday, starting in the first heat of the 2V4 at 8:30 before the WSU 1V4 pushes off in the event's second heat at 9:15. The Cougs will then race in the second heat of the 2V8 at 9:45 before wrapping up the day in the second heat of the 1V8 at 10:15.

The championships will wrap up on Saturday with finals starting at 8 a.m., rolling through heats every 15 minutes.

9:00 a.m. – 2V8 Petite Final
9:15 a.m. – 2V8 Grand Final
9:30 a.m. – 1V8 Petite Final

The Cougars will wait for the NCAA to announce boat selections on Tuesday, May 20 for the 2025 NCAA Rowing Championships which will take place in Windsor, N.J., Friday, May 30 to Sunday, June 1.
