Cougars Head East for Lake Wheeler Invitational

PULLMAN, Wash. (April 24, 2025) – Washington State women's rowing has its final spring competition this weekend before conference championships, taking part in the Lake Wheeler Invitational in Raleigh, N.C. on April 26 and 27.

The Cougars hit the water Friday morning at 7 a.m. PT with the 2V4 flight, followed by the 1V4 at 7:30 a.m. PT, the 2V8 at 8 a.m. PT and then the 1V8 at 8:30 a.m. PT.

Friday afternoon, there will be a second racing session in which the Cougars will race in the same order, starting at 12:03 p.m. PT with the 2V4, then the 1V4 at 12:35 p.m. PT, the 2V8 at 1:05 p.m. PT and the 1V8 at 1:35 p.m. PT.

The event will wrap up Saturday morning with WSU starting at 6:30 a.m. PT with the 2V4, then pushing off the 1V4 at 7 a.m. PT, the 2V8 at 7:30 a.m. PT and the 1V8 at 8 a.m. PT.

Following the Lake Wheeler Invitational, the Cougars will continue to train over the next few weeks in preparation for the 2025 WCC Championships on May 16-17 in Gold River, Calif.
