Cougars Head to Bay Area for The Goodwin

PULLMAN, Wash. (March 26, 2025) – The Washington State men's golf team makes its annual voyage to the Bay Area this week to compete in The Goodwin, hosted by Stanford University, March 27-29, in Stanford, Calif.
 
The Course and Tournament Format
The Goodwin will be held at the 6,742-yard, par-70 Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif.
 
Teams will play 18 holes each day during the 54-hole event.

The Field
The field for The Goodwin features a total of 30 teams, 13 ranked in the Top 50. Along with Washington State and host #46 Stanford, the field includes #13 Utah, #15 UCLA, #22 Pepperdine, #27 Long Beach State, #30 Georgia, #31 BYU, #32 Colorado, #33 SMU, #34 Northwestern, #36 Oregon, #40 Arkansas Little Rock, #43 Colorado State, California, Cal Poly, Clemson, Fresno State, Howard, Lipscomb, LMU, Loyola (Md.), Nevada, San Francisco, San Jose State, Santa Clara, TCU, UC Davis, Washington and Wofford.

Following The Goodwin, the Cougars will head back to Northern California to compete in the El Macero Classic, hosted by UC Davis, April 11-13.
 
WSU Golf
Head Coach Dustin White is in his ninth season leading his alma mater. The 2024-25 Cougar squad, which returns four members from last season, looks to build of the 2024 campaign which saw WSU ends its season by capturing the title at the National Golf Invitational Championship, WSU's first postseason tournament victory.
