Gonzaga took a 2-1 lead with an unearned run in the sixth and added two in the seventh.

The Bulldogs put a runner on with a one-out single through the left side and moved around to third after a throwing error on a failed pick off attempt and the next batter brought the run home with a groundout to first.

Obenour put down a one-out bunt single to third base in the fifth and moved around to third but GU again kept WSU off the board with a flyout to right.

WSU loaded the bases with one out in the sixth but GU again ended the threat with a 4-6-3 ground ball double play to preserve the 2-1 lead. The Bulldogs took advantage of a WSU defensive miscue in the seventh to add two runs for a 4-1 advantage.
