Gavin Roy followed with a sacrifice fly to centerfield to score Johnstone for a 3-0 advantage.

OSU made it a 3-1 game with a run on a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning and added another run in the fifth after a hit-by-pitch, wild pitch and double to left to cut the Cougar lead to 3-2.

In the sixth, OSU put runners on first and second with two outs before Rylan Haider entered the game and ended the threat with a ground ball to Luke Thiele at third who stepped on the third base bag for the third out.
