CORVALLIS, Ore. (March 11, 2025) – Washington State dropped the series-opener at No. 8 Oregon State 15-1 at Goss Stadium Tuesday evening.

First baseman
Ryan Skjonsby reached base in three of his four plate appearances with a walk, single and hit-by-pitch while second baseman
Ollie Obenour singled and scored a run. Sophomore lefthander
Jake Robinson worked three scoreless frames with three strikeouts.

OSU scored twice in the second, nine in the fourth and four in the fifth to take the first game of the series.

In the second, Roy reached on a bunt single down the first base line and stole second before
Noah Thein was hit a by a pitch to put two runners on but OSU ended the threat with a groundout. In the Beavers half of the second, they pushed two runs across for a 2-0 lead.

OSU erupted for a nine-run fourth inning, taking advantage of six walks along with five hits to build a 11-0 lead. OSU added four more in the fifth.

The Cougars loaded the bases with nobody out in the sixth and picked up a run on a
Logan Johnstone's sacrifice fly to centerfield.
