FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (February 17, 2025) – Washington State dropped the series-finale at fourth-ranked Arkansas 12-2 in seven innings at Baum-Walker Stadium in Fayetteville Monday.

The Cougars received a double and run scored from
Ryan Skjonsby along with an RBI-double from
Ricco Longo and three shutout innings from
Rylan Haider.

Arkansas, ranked in the Top-5 off all major preseason polls, tallied 10 hits, took advantage for three Cougar errors and scored five runs in the fourth and six in the fifth to close out the series. T

Arkansas put the first two hitters of the game on base and the Cougars went to the bullpen. Redshirt-sophomore righthander
Rylan Haider entered and ended the early threat with a flyout, lineout and strikeout. Haider fired three scoreless frames with a pair strikeouts in his season debut.

The Razorbacks got to the Cougar pen in the fourth inning, plating five runs on a solo homer, four hits and a pair of walks. WSU answered with a run in the fifth inning after
Ryan Skjonsby led off the inning with a double down the right field line and later scored on
Kyler Northrop's safety squeeze bunt.

In the bottom of the fifth, Arkansas added sixth more runs on five hits and two Cougar errors for an 11-1 advantage.
Ricco Longo doubled home
Gavin Roy in the sixth before the Razorbacks capped the scoring with a run in their half of the sixth.
