Cougars Head to La Quinta for The Prestige

PULLMAN, Wash. (Feb. 16, 2025) – The Washington State men's golf team continues its start to the 2025 spring season by heading to La Quinta, Calif. for The Prestige, Feb. 17-19, hosted by UC Davis. The event marks the second event in four days and the second of six spring tournaments for the Cougars in 2025.
 
The Course and Tournament Format
The Prestige will be held at the PGA West Greg Norman Course in La Quinta, Calif.. The course will play as a par-71 at 7,185 yards.
 
Teams will play 18 holes each day, with the Cougars going off the back side beginning at 6:56 a.m.

In addition to Washington State, other teams competing at The Prestige include host UC Davis, Arkansas-Little Rock, Baylor, Colorado, Colorado State, Florida Atlantic, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Louisville, Loyola Marymount, Nevada, North Carolina, North Carolina-Wilmington, Northwestern, Oregon, Oregon State, Pepperdine, Princeton, San Diego, Stanford, Texas Tech and Yale.

Following The Prestige, the Cougars will go more than three weeks without playing a tournament as they are next in action at the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate, March 17-18 in Tucson, Ariz.

Head Coach Dustin White is in his ninth season leading his alma mater. The 2024-25 Cougar squad, which returns four members from last season, looks to build of the 2024 campaign which saw WSU ends its season by capturing the title at the National Golf Invitational Championship, WSU's first postseason tournament victory.
